IRC Policy
The goal of #NLNOG is to share knowledge about network related topics in an informal setting. Router configurations, peering issues, or picking apart a DNS packet are good examples of topics and discussions.
When you take part in #NLNOG, you contribute to a culture where you can expect, and are expected, to live up to certain standards:
- Be polite, independent of who you are, and whom you are addressing
- Be civilized, no racism/sexism, or any other undesirable behavior
- If you have a different opinion, do not resort to “ad hominem”
- Give people the benefit of doubt. It is easy for unintentional misunderstandings to occur
- Information obtained from the channel cannot be shared outside the channel without consent
- You can always contact an operator if you have questions about the #NLNOG channel
- Main languages: English and Dutch
Channel operators are responsible for enforcing these rules. The NLNOG Foundation board will appoint the channel operators.
Channel Operators: jra, Fluor, henkjan, weirdje, teun, klaver, rvdm
